​The current system is full of anxious and unmotivated children, burned out teachers and an education that does not prepare children for life. Kids are not free to learn, therefore they are unmotivated. There is too much useless information and not enough engagement or attention, especially for neurodivergent kids.
Generation Z and Alpha children are not cut out for the old ways of learning and the pressures parents put on them. These children need a different way of learning.
We need a place for children where they can be seen and heard, where they can learn while playing, where kindness matters, where they can learn important life skills and self-love, and most importantly, they can become self-aware. That is where they need our gentle guidance
At the same time, we want to help the parents of our students by providing an education and a way to heal emotionally.
During this process, parents can learn and understand how their own past may affect how they parent. This will allow parents to grow together with their children.

Conscious Living & Parenting
Dr. Shefali Tsabary’s Conscious Parent Coaching Method is a game changer, not only coaches or parents, but also for individuals without children. At Lily’s Kites, we are trained in Conscious Parenting. A parent may send their child to the best school, but after school, the child goes home. If the parent doesn’t have the right skills and tools, the child will not reach their full potential, because he or she will not have the ability to be authentic. We provide a workshop for parents to understand the differences between traditional vs conscious parenting (summary below), to teach parents to heal themselves which, in turn, will allow for a deeper connection with their child. Parents who are ready for this journey are welcome into our village!
Every child is a GIFT
He or she is another chance for humanity to make the world a better place! Our job as parents and teachers is to give them the most love, guidance and freedom we can. It is priceless for a parent or any adult to watch a little helpless person grow into an individual who has his/her own ideas, despite genes and/or circumstances.

Every child deserves to be and feel loved, accepted and respected. Each child should learn at their own pace. We need to spend time learning about each child as a person, what their interests, temperament, abilities and focus are. Then we can gently guide them through all subjects via their own interest, so they can relate easier. During this process, we have to make sure that they are healthy mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically and academically.
Children will be held in a safe container at our school, facilitated by teachers trained in Conscious Parenting & Conscious Living.

Free Play
Peter Gray, Ph.D., the American psychology researcher introduced the idea that free play is the most important thing for the child’s learning development. Children don’t need to sit in school for 7-8 hours a day and be instructed to learn. In today’s world, existing innovative schools as well as microschools and home schools demonstrate that minimal instruction time (2 hours max.) is sufficient to teach basic reading and math skills. The rest of the time is used to allow children to discover and learn on their own.

Self-Directed Learning
The idea of self directed learning goes far back in history. Starting with hunter-gatherer societies, children followed their own curiosity and learned all life skills without the existence of schools. In today’s world, adults determine what children should learn and force feed it to them. By being forced to learn, children lose their curiosity and also their motivation to learn. By allowing them to follow their own lead, we nurture that innate curiosity.
